Development of teaser poster and Magazine front cover.

Teaser Trailer Women In Black 2011

Throughout the start of the trailer there is suspenseful music which sets the trailer into what genre the trailer is. Which is horror I feel that this may be a good idea for my teaser trailer as I can establish, what sort of audience my trailer, is aimed at to hook the right type of audience. If I am able to establish this, I will then be able to portray my trailer to hook the right sort of audience, to come and watch my film. The trailer uses diegetic sound throughout for the scenes that are from the film. This gives more effect for the film as these scenes are in the actual film, if you add in the non diagetic loud bangs and jumpy music which I will want to combine for my own film, so the mise-en scene is right for the acting. This gives the film a sense of reality but also I feel that if you have scary scene then the music is a big factor, it adds another dimension to the scene.

Magazine pictures

Here are a variety of pictures I have taken for my magazine front cover, I have also used many different poses. I can then go through all of the pictures and pick out the one I will want to use for my poster. I will then edit the picture using photoshop, to create the poster I have in mind.

Horror Poster Insisious

This is a really effective poster as it gets the readers interested to know what the connection is, between the house and the boy, the boy is darker than the house making which puts emphasis on him being haunted and not the house, which is the tag line at the top of the poster. I feel that this is a really clever play on the idea of a haunted house, but the boy being haunted puts a twist on the the most stereotypical idea a horror film, about a haunted house. I feel i will try and use this poster as a bas sis for my own poster. But there are a couple of things I will change, the title for this is very cleverly placed and the writing around the title puts emphasis on the title. But for my design I will put the title at the top of the poster so when my poster is put up, it will be the first thing the audience will read. This will get my film out and into the audiences minds.

Harry Potter teaser Poster

This poster is really effective, the lighting is half dark and light on the photograph making the actor look suspicious and scary, I think I would like to use an effect on my own figure in my poster. But I feel I would not be able to use a design like this for my poster. The picture is of Harry Potter, (Daniel Radcliffe) who is a well known character out of the book Harry Potter. But on the other hand for my poster I do not have a well known film star like, Daniel Radcliffe so I will have to have over things on my poster like the location where the film is set, furthermore I would like to be able to have the main figure on my poster looking as scared as possible, in comparison to the house. I want her to also to stand out from the background picture, so when people look at the poster they have questions like "what is the girl scared of?"I feel that this picture is perfect for harry potter but, would be completely the wrong image for my poster.
